Why Grande Surface?
The Grande Surface-Galerie Festive received its unusual name as a tip of the hat to its former existence. This atypical art gallery took over the premises of an old Monoprix retail chain store and its 1,500 m2 of aisles and storage spaces have been cleverly redeveloped by the Passage Enchanté team to welcome up to 900 visitors. Passage Enchanté is an organisation that reclaims and revitalises neglected areas larger than 1000 m² and has already distinguished himself with its very successful Jardin Suspendu (Hanging Garden), the biggest rooftop garden terrace in Paris. In the cultural and festive space that is the Grande Surface-Galerie Festive, art and partying come together in perfect harmony, offering for the next few months an original agenda combining works of art, entertainment, concerts and clubbing.
When art meets the party
The Grande Surface-Galerie Festive is a place well worth experiencing in the heart of Paris. Spread over three levels, this hybrid venue offers a wealth of possibilities, including exhibiting a range of regularly renewed works of art, including many from the 9th Concept collective of artists.
The concept of this creative space differs from that of traditional art galleries in its entertaining approach. You can get something to eat, dance, listen to good music… In short, have fun! There are several mobile bars to choose from as well as a food court. From 19:00 there is dancing, entertainment and various surprises, and it all continues until 2:00 in the morning!
